DIRECTIONS to Panama Eco Resort

OUR RESORT IS BOAT ACCESS ONLY
We are on the mainland in Bocas del Toro, Panama, Central America
We are accessible by water only to either Almirante, a port town on the mainland or Bocas Town on Isla Colon a main island in Bocas del Toro.

Both locations are about a 30 minute scenic boat ride and yes, we quite often see dolphins on the way to Panama Eco Resort.

We provide private boat transfers to our guests. If you book 3 or more nights this service is free of charge. If you are staying for 1 or 2 nights the cost is $70 for 2 persons (includes return trip). This option is fully bookable at time of reservation through our booking site.

Arriving by car to Almirante:
Arrive to Almirante and ask for directions to Omar’s car parking near the Terpel Gas Dock (only gas station in town on the water). If you are early there is a small restaurant right beside the Terpel gas docks. Our boat will meet you at the gas docks at the appointed time. Depending on familiarity with the roads; time from David to Almirante is approximately 3-4 hours. Almirante is about 45 minutes from the Costa Rica border.

This is example of what the boat will look like. Almost all of the time it will be Iain, your host, who will pick you up but on occasion when he can not we have a reliable private boat to take his place.

Arriving by International Flight:
If you arrive to Panama City International Airport (called Tocumen, airport code PTY) it is best to stay overnight in Panama City to make your travel arrangements smoother. We have English speaking taxi drivers and hotel recommendations we can provide. Please contact us for more information.

Domestic Flights (within Panama):
Air Panama flies from Panama City to Bocas Town, Isla Colon. It is a small plane (50 passenger) and takes about 50 minutes. They fly daily and you can book your tickets direct on their website.

www.airpanama.com

Air Panama flies out of the downtown airport called Albrook (airport code PAC).

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
Tocumen the international airport, and Albrook Air Panama’s airport are a 30 minute drive apart
Depending on the arrival time of your international flight we recommend either staying overnight in Panama City or overnight in Bocas Town.
